Do I need to call to book?
No. Booking online at ridextaxi.com/book or in the app takes about two minutes, and we confirm your flat rate and pickup time in writing. If you would rather talk to a person, call 708-725-1212 and an agent will book the ride for you at the same flat rate.
Is the price really fixed?
Yes. Your flat rate is locked when you book and won't change for traffic, weather, or demand. No surge pricing, and no meter on airport trips.
How do I pay?
Pay by card online when you book. We'll text your receipt, and there's nothing to pay in the taxi.
What happens after I book?
We assign a taxi to your ride before you travel. On the day, we'll text updates and your cab number so you know exactly who's picking you up.
What if no taxi is available when my pickup comes?
If no taxi is available for a ride pre-booked at least 24 hours ahead, Ride X will order a rideshare car for you at your same flat rate. You'll get picked up on time and never pay surge.

Lower level at Door 2LL. We'll text your cab number before you land.
Should I add my flight number?
Yes. Add your flight number when you book a pickup from the airport. It helps dispatch plan around your arrival.
How far ahead should I book?
Book as soon as you know your flight. Pre-booking lets us assign your taxi in advance. Last-minute requests depend on availability, so plan ahead for peak travel days.
