Ride X Taxi Cancellation Policy

Ride X Taxi, Inc. is a dispatch service that arranges rides with independent owner-operators. Bookings and cancellations are handled online at ridextaxi.com or in the Ride X Taxi mobile apps.
Pre-Booked Rides
How to cancel
Cancel in My Rides at ridextaxi.com or in the Ride X Taxi app. The phone line at 847-892-1004 is automated; cancellations by phone, voicemail, or SMS are not accepted.
Cancellation windows and charges
- More than 2 hours before the scheduled pickup time: Full refund.
- Within 2 hours of the scheduled pickup time: Charged the full flat rate (for airport flat-rate rides) or the full quoted fare (for other rides). No refund.
Times are based on the scheduled pickup time.
No-shows
A no-show occurs when the rider cannot be reached or is not at the pickup location within 10 minutes of the driver’s arrival. No-shows are charged the full flat rate or full quoted fare.
Refund method and timing
All rides are paid by card at booking through Stripe. Ride X Taxi does not store card numbers. Eligible refunds are returned to the original card, typically within 5 to 10 business days. Charges appear as RIDE X TAXI.
Ride X cancellations
Ride X Taxi may cancel and fully refund a ride it cannot serve. For rides pre-booked at least 24 hours in advance, if no taxi is available Ride X will arrange a rideshare car at the same flat rate. Rides booked with less notice are served on a best-effort basis.
Same-Day and Short-Notice Bookings
Same-day and short-notice bookings follow the same cancellation and no-show rules described above and are subject to driver availability.
