Ride X test checklist
Private test page for Aaron and Steve — not linked anywhere, hidden from Google. Updated Sept 29, 2026.
What to test on the website (works now)
- Home page: type a town in “Get my flat rate”, toggle O’Hare / Midway and To / From, confirm the price appears instantly and “Book this ride” carries it over.
- Rates table: search your town, check the numbers look right vs 303 Taxi. Midday Saver badges should show on the participating towns.
- Town page (Arlington Heights → O’Hare) and Orland Park → Midway: read the copy critically (Steve). Anything that overpromises or sounds off, note it.
- Booking deep link (Skokie → O’Hare): O’Hare should be pre-filled, the orange banner should show $36, the scheduler should be open. Try a weekday 11:00 AM pickup: the quote should read “Flat rate — locked at booking” at $31 (Midday Saver).
- Try a Chicago address (e.g. 233 S Wacker Dr): the quote must be refused with a “suburbs only” message. Try Rosemont: it should price by meter, no flat rate.
- FAQ, O’Hare, Midway pages on a phone: layout, wording, the 24-hour condition on the never-stranded guarantee.
- Old links still work: /airport/, /arlingtonheights, tenfourtaxi.com should all redirect.
What is not live yet (don’t report these)
- Address autocomplete in the booking form: waiting on the Google Maps keys.
- SMS sign-in codes and confirmation texts: waiting on the Twilio account.
- Real card charges: Stripe is connected but the account is still being activated; do not enter a real card yet.
- The phone line (IVR) and the iOS/Android apps: the TestFlight build is being uploaded; this page will get the join link when it is ready.
How to report
Post in the Ride X Dispatch Slack (or email Abraham) with: the link you were on, what you did, what you expected, what happened, and a screenshot. One issue per message is easiest.
iOS TestFlight
Build 2.0 (1) is processed. Internal testers get it through the App Store Connect invite (Abraham can forward his invite email; tap “View in TestFlight” on the phone). A public join link for everyone else appears here once Apple’s Beta App Review clears (usually 1–2 days after submission).
